Volunteer Opportunities

From stuffing eggs with candy to serving as a chairperson, the HOA cannot do all of these things without volunteers.


Serve as a Chairperson

The following roles do not require attendance at Board Meetings and do not have voting rights on Board matters.

Architectural Review Chair

The Architectural Review Chair (ARC) general responsibilities are to review submitted applications in TownSq to ensure compliance with the governing documents. Complaint apps will then be sent to the Board for a vote.
The ARC will communicate with home owners regarding their application status.

An Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be comfortable with email, Google Drive, and TownSq,
and be fair, reliable, and have strong critical thinking skills.

This position will work closely with the Member-At-Large board member.
Estimated Time Commitment: 1 hour per week collectively.

Events Chair

The Events Chair general responsibilities are to plan the PMHOA events for the year.
This role will recruit volunteers to coordinate and assist with the specific events hosted throughout the year.
For existing events we continue to host, project sheets have been created breaking down timelines and tasks to complete.

An Ideal candidate will be organized, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable coordinating volunteers.

This position will work closely with the Board for budgeting, planning, and advertising purposes.

Events are important to our neighborhood to foster community and create opportunities for neighbors to meet each other.
There are many ways to get involved. The event coordinators would work with directly with the Events Chair.

Event Coordinators

Egg Hunt Coordinator

Coordinate the Annual Egg Hunt and volunteers in both the planning stage to day-of-event details. A project sheet has been created breaking down timelines and tasks to complete, so the coordinator won’t have to start from scratch. Smaller volunteer options are available to help with the event.

First Friday Happy Hour Coordinator

Coordinate happy hour hosts, advertise the events, and ensure paper goods are available. A project sheet has been created breaking down timelines and tasks to complete, so the coordinator won’t have to start from scratch. Smaller volunteer options are available to help with the event

Garage Sale Coordinator

Set dates and advertise sale. A project sheet has been created breaking down timelines and tasks to complete, so the coordinator won’t have to start from scratch. Smaller volunteer options are available to help with the event

Community Giving Coordinator

Determine a local charity to do a drive for, set a date/timeframe, advertise the giving event, and coordinate dropoff/pickup. Smaller volunteer options are available to help with the event

Holiday Decoration Coordinator

Coordinate volunteers to install and takedown of holiday decorations, ensure lights and decor are available and in good shape. Smaller volunteer options are available to help with the event

Help-a-Neighbor Coordinator

New in 2025, we’d love to offer ways to help neighbors in Providence Manor HOA who might need extra help. Help us envision how we might do this and coordinate volunteers to help.

Help with the Egg Hunt

The annual egg hunt is hosted at Heritage Elementary School. The options for volunteering are below.

Stuff Eggs with Candy

Two-three weeks before the event, stuff approximately 1200 eggs with candy. This is a great task for children, teens, and adults.

Sign Wrangler

Put up signs about 5 days prior to the event & take down event signs immediately after the event on Walnut Creek Drive and Wethersfield Drive.

Event Setup

One hour before the event: Put up stakes to create lanes for each age group

Hide Eggs

One hour before the event: Come early to hide eggs. This is a great task for children, teens, and adults.

Clean up Crew

Immediately after the event: coordinate collecting the empty eggs, take down stakes & signs, remove trash.

Event Wrap-up

Immediately after the event: Pack up supplies and signs and return them storage unit.

Host a Happy Hour

First Friday Happy Hours are casual, “bring your own beverage of choice & chair” opportunities to create community and gather with new & old neighbors. No programming or heavy programming required. Homeowners are welcome to create a theme and are simply asked to offer up their driveway, a welcoming environment, and good vibes.

Sign Wrangler

Monthly May-Oct: Put up signs 4 days before the event & take down signs immediately after the event. Signs are placed on Walnut Creek Drive, Wethersfield Drive, and the host’s yard.

Help with the Garage Sale

The Providence Manor HOA garage sale is hosted annually, typically in April or May. It is voluntary for home owners to participate. Having a coordinated date for sales in the neighborhood hopefully will result in more shoppers to buy items at your sale.

Help with Community Giving Event

The HOA loves to provide a way for our homeowners to give back to our larger community by offering a community giving event. Typically this is a food drive, or similar, in which we collect items of need for a week or two, then deliver them to a local charity. It is optional for home owners to participate.

Volunteer to be the Drop Off House

Offer up your front porch to collect donations from neighbors.

Deliver Donations

Collect the donations and deliver them to the charity.

Help with Holiday Decorating

The annual egg hunt is hosted at Heritage Elementary School each year within a few weeks prior to Easter.

Pick up Lights & Decorations

Late November: Gather the decorations from the HOA storage unit.

Install Lights & Decorations

Late November-early December: Install lights at the 3 PMHOA entrances on signs, bushes, and trees.

Take Down Lights & Decorations

Mid-January: Take down the decorations and neatly store them neatly in the tubs. Discard any broken lights or decorations and update the board about anything that will need replaced for next year.

Store all Lights & Decorations

Mid-January: Return everything to the HOA storage unit.

New in 2025, we’d love to offer ways to help neighbors in Providence Manor HOA who might need extra help. While the vision of how this might work and what help might be needed has not yet been defined, the need to find volunteers is here!
